They work with care homes, statutory bodies, community organisations and others to co-create new ways of working to better meet the needs of older people, relatives and staff, with a vision to make care homes great places to ‘live, die, visit and work’.
My Home Life believe care homes should be:
- Supported to deliver to their potential
- Valued and trusted by those who work with them
- Cherished by their local communities
All MBi Social Care offices and care facilities are proud to display the new bulletin produced by My Home Life entitled ‘Looking after yourself and those around you’ released in Care Management Matters and on their website.
Their bulletin is a response to advice and suggestions gleaned across the care home sector, providing practical tips on how best to support yourself and others in a care situation to feel safe, secure and to feel a reduction in stress and anxiety, employing techniques such as STOP –
Stop and pause just for a moment
Take a breath
It also includes top tips from experienced care home managers and information on how to stay connected to My Home Life via their free app, where every week those signed up receive a message which will include a thought, a top tip, an action or a question.
The app can be downloaded from the Apple store (for iOS devices) and Google Play store (for Android devices). Search for “MyHomeLife” (all one word).
